  • Dentist Appointments

Thursday was time for my and Brandon to visit the dentist. Brandon still enjoys going and enjoys brushing his teeth so it is a pleasant experience. The visit went really well, Brandon had his teeth X-rayed and got to see his new teeth coming up. He really wants to loose those front teeth! Both Brandon and I had a clean bill of health and no cavities.

In other news I ran acorss a site that brought up a lot of memories. It was a site about an 80s crazy called Garbage Pail kids. For those that have not heard about them they are a collectable baseball type card, but they have gross looking “cabbage patch kid” type pictures. The appeal was the artwork was generally good and they are regular names for the most part. I still have probaby 50 or so cards someplace packed away, but in this digital age I have captured a few names I found in my casual browsing. Too see the names you need to click on the thumbnail images. Enjoy…

  • A Scouting we will go..

First off I finally uploaded the pictures from painting!! Check them out.

This weekend started off with Brandon going bowling with one of his friends John. They had pizza and pop and bowled until 9pm. From what I hear Brandon was showing off his bowling league skills and loved having the bumpers up which he normally does not have.

Saturday morning Danith ran another 5K, this one in downtown Minneapolis. She said she did not do well but just running it is accomplishment enough. Saturday was also Brandon’s bowling league. So he got to bowl again and this time scored a 26. Bowling is a pretty tough sport for kids his age as just throwing the ball is hard enough and on top of that they must throw it straight and hard enough to hit some pins.

That night Brandon had his first sleep over at a friends house, Hunter. It sounds like he had a great time and still got some sleep too. That night Danith and I enjoyed having just a single kid who goes to sleep at 8pm. We had a bonfire and enjoyed a cool beverage or two watching the wood crackle and spark.

Sunday we met up with Hunter’s family at an apple orchard and picked a few apples and enjoyed a moderate 60 degree day.

Monday Brandon had his first Tiger scout pack meeting. He enjoyed the silly songs and awards given. I will upload a picture of him in his uniform later (hopefully). He is really excited about the fun stuff he will get to do and the Polar camp in January.
